Personal data protection

b.t.c. group, which consists of the affiliated companies: b.t.c. d.o.o. (Croatia), Nybble d.o.o. (Croatia), b.t.c. solutions d.o.o. (Slovenia) and b.t.c. solutions d.o.o. (Serbia) (hereinafter: the members of the b.t.c. group or the Controllers), collects and processes personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with the application of appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Privacy policy

Data is collected for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes and is processed only to the extent necessary to achieve those purposes. The members of the b.t.c. group collect and process personal data only when permitted by applicable regulations, namely in the following cases:

  • the processing is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations,
  • you have given explicit consent to the processing of your personal data,
  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or for taking pre-contractual steps,
  • the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the b.t.c. group, except where the fundamental rights and freedoms of the user override those interests.
Collection and use of personal data

Personal data is information that can identify you directly or indirectly (first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number and similar). We do not collect your personal data unless you explicitly provide it (e.g. through a web form, a newsletter subscription, sending an enquiry or business communication). We keep your personal data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or within the periods prescribed by law

Data sharing and transfers to third countries

In certain cases we may forward collected personal data to other companies within the b.t.c. group or to trusted external partners (e.g. for IT support or delivery). All such recipients are obliged to act in accordance with our instructions and applicable regulations. Given that the b.t.c. group also operates through a company with its registered office in the Republic of Serbia (outside the European Economic Area), every transfer of personal data to that country is carried out solely with the application of appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses), which ensures that your data enjoys the same level of protection as within the EU. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Use of data for marketing purposes

If you have given us explicit consent, we may use your data to send newsletters and information about services, trade fairs and events. We may also use the data to analyse the effectiveness of our online services in order to provide you with more relevant information. You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time.

Your rights (Data subject rights)

In line with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data at any time:

  • Right of access: You have the right to request confirmation of whether we process your data and to obtain access to it.
  • Right to rectification: You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): You have the right to request the deletion of data if it is no longer necessary for the purpose of collection or if you withdraw your consent.
  • Right to restriction of processing and right to object: You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Right to portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured format.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe that the processing of your data breaches legal regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Croatia this is the Personal Data Protection Agency - AZOP).

Data security and limitation of liability

We apply the highest available technical and organisational measures in order to protect personal data from loss, theft or unauthorised access. Although we take all reasonable protective measures, the transfer of information over the internet is never completely secure, so we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of data transmitted to our site, and any such transfer takes place at the user's own risk.
